Venues where Žiga has performed are as varied as the music he has been playing: international festivals, clubs, theatres, galleries, streets, parks, shelters, living rooms; free improvisation, chanson, post rock, jazz, etc. He often intertwines his playing with other forms of art, such as theatre, poetry, visual art, contemporary dance, and film.

He has published a book of poetry, and participated in making of more than a hundred albums, that have been released in Slovenia and abroad (Croatia, Austria, Germany, Ireland, France, Spain, Poland, Switzerland, etc.). A number of these albums were awarded, recently Chris Eckman's Where The Spirit Rests (Deutsche Shallplattenkritikpreis), and Tamara Obrovac Quartet's Nuvola (Porin).

Autumn of 2018 saw the release of his improvisations for solo double-bass, Spaces II. In 2021 two albums of original music were released: Obraz (The Face), and Marijanski jarek/Mariana Trench, and in 2022 a concert album Sam v galeriji P74 (Alone in the P74 gallery). He had worked as a presenter at the national radio and did cartoon voice-over work. Occasionally he still records his reading of different texts.
